My Holiday
The summer holiday is always my favorite time of the year. This year, I spent it in a meaningful and unforgettable way.
Day 1: Visiting My Grandmother
On the first day, I went to my grandmother’s house in the countryside. She lives near a river surrounded by green fields. I helped her clean the house and cook lunch. We also took a walk along the riverbank. She told me stories about her childhood, which made me realize how important family is.

My parents took me to Shanghai, the “shopping paradise” of China. We visited the Bund, where I saw the Oriental Pearl Tower shining under the blue sky. The next day, we went to Century Park. I tried boating on the lake and even watched a movie in a modern cinema. The most exciting part was tasting local food like steamed buns and spicy noodles!
Day 6-7: Learning and Relaxing
After the trip, I focused on my homework. Every morning, I reviewed English vocabulary and read short stories to improve my language skills. In the afternoon, I played basketball with my friends. One day, we even organized a small picnic in the park.
